Realistic Volume Animation With Alias
نویسنده
چکیده
Computer generated animation is widespread in lms, television commercials , multimedia and games. The availability of powerful modeling and animation packages has contributed greatly to this popularity and has been instrumental in bringing computer animation into the mainstream. These packages work primarily with polygonal representations of models. Deformation for animation is achieved by means of user deened skeletons. In this paper, we describe a method which uses a volumetric thinning algorithm to automatically build a skeleton from a volume model. This volumetric skeleton is then used with an oo-the-shelf animation tool to achieve smooth and realistic volume animation. Animation techniques like key-framing and inverse kinematics can thus be directly used in the volume domain.

Classification and Volume Morphing for Performance-driven Facial Animation
We present a new facial animation approach that produces a wide variety of realistic facial expressions with advantages over existing geometry deformation and morphing methods for performance-driven animation systems. These systems sense and reconstruct a real person's facial expressions from an image sequence. The novelty of our approach is to sense and animate both textures and geometry using...
متن کاملAlias Analysis with bddbddb
Context-sensitive inclusion-based alias analysis is very precise but also computationally expensive. Whaley and Lam [5] recently proposed an approach based on Binary Decision Diagrams that scales to realistic Java programs. This report summarizes the approach, describes how the tool bddbddb that implements the analysis is used, and discusses how it can be employed to develop derived analyses ba...
متن کاملPhysically-based Animation of Volumetric Objects
This paper presents a voxel-based animation technique which employs either a massspring model or a nite elementmodel. The voxel-based mesh is generated in a pre-processing step. Two volumetric objects, a voxelized chair and scanned muscle are used as case studies with di erent models. The mass-spring model is used to show an animation sequence of a falling and bouncing chair. Wireframe display ...

متن کاملMuscle and Skin Model for Facial Animation Submitted to the University of Glasgow
Facial animation is a popular area of research which has been around for over thirty years, but even with this long time scale, automatically creating realistic facial expressions is still an unsolved goal. This work furthers the state of the art in computer facial animation by introducing a new muscle and skin model and a method of easily transferring a full muscle and bone animation setup fro...
